Modern Slavery Statements: A Framework for Evaluation

Overarching Principles

Statements should:

  1. Be specific to modern slavery
  2. Be detailed and well-evidenced
  3. Align with relevant best practice and international standards
  4. Be open and transparent about uncertainties
  5. Demonstrate continuous progress
  6. Include steps to prevent modern slavery in the long-term, not just mitigate short-term risks
