American Airlines 4+

I booked my first flights with AA. I was travelling to SLC from LHR and connecting through DFW both ways. It was such a pleasant experience. The app provided great updates and informative information. The only issue I had was on my way back - I wasn’t told the baggage would be transferred to the final destination. So I was waiting in the baggage area for a very long time constantly checking the updates on the track my bag section. I then went on to my browser and it seems that my browser provided me with more accurate information about my baggage status. It would be great if we could have it all on the app and the app consist of the master information. Nonetheless was a pleasant experience. Will definitely be flying again and will definitely be recommending.

Poor experience - Not fit for international customers

First things first, when you want to contact AA customer service through this app, this is not possible. The chat bot keeps you in a loop and gives you always the same answers. If you manage to tell him you want to speak to an operator, he does not let you off the hook but tells you that he knows everything… so if you insist he eventually sends you to a customer form where you need to give specific information - so AA is not open and approachable - and they only accept US noble numbers. So forget it with an UK mobile number.

THAN they do not store your personal information (passport number, expiriry date, birthday) you need to key this is for check in EVERY TIME.

Than - in my case - check in did not work. You try to than check in though the website. The website tells you that you are already checked in. But AA does not give you a boarding pass. Not in the app (for the wallet), not to download, not via email, not via text link…. I find this really frightening, that they do not give you a boarding pass, tell you in the app you are not checked in (as they are prompting the check in for you), on the web they tell you you are checked in…. Long story short: their systems do not speak to each other. This is a piece of digital waste you actually do not need. Useless.

Just come back from America. Flights on time, staff excellent, food good, but when waiting for my first flight I was talking to an American doctor In front of a large window looking out onto our plane, suddenly a member of staff was taking suitcases off the flight and throwing them down the ramp, they were tossed and turned a number of times before reaching the bottom. The doctor and I were astounded that this was done in full view of passengers. Maybe AA
Need to supervise staff more or they will be receiving claims for damage. Apart from this an excellent service ty
